I spent most of the weekend getting all the stuff in my head into written and/or graphical form. I made a few checklists, a few plans, and some “mind map” graphs. Unfortunately, that means I didn’t do a lot of creative things. I used most of the remaining time putting together the Dalmatian media list (which I am still super proud of!), which took about five hours between both weekend days. It wasn’t a light job.
I did write about 100 words in Arc 1, which is something, I suppose.
Some of the plans I have for the rest of the year:
- Actually developing the software I will use to publish my writing;
- Finally clear out my phone and update it to iOS 27 (which will probably release before I finish);
- Draw reference sheets for all main original characters of Spotted:
- The Dalmatians: Renee, and Delilah’s siblings: Dave, Daffodil, and Diana.
- The non-Dal dogs: Lady Tiffany the Beagle, Brooke the Border Collie, Gwyn the Corgi, Angelina the Husky/Wolf-dog (similar to Balto), Mike the German Shepherd, Amethyst the cyber dog, Bradley the Golden Retriever, and Poppy the Labradoodle.
- The non-dogs: Vanessa the black cat, Günther the Hanoverian stallion, Melinda the raccoon, and Regina the Corsac fox.
- Maybe even the two humans.
- Learn the Rust programming language properly;
- Record at least one song on my guitar;
- Read more books! I was happy reading, and I have selected eight books I want to read before the end of the year. Let’s see if I can do it;
- Play a game and see if I can figure out how to record it;
- Maybe do some stuff with retro computers. I have found I do still enjoy it, and I’d love to share that with others! Maybe I could combine this with the point above, and play some retro games on one of my old computers and share it on a video site.
Ambitious? Quite. I normally wouldn’t even write this all out in public, but I want to keep myself somewhat accountable. Maybe I won’t be able to do it all, but I certainly want to aspire to as much as possible. There’s five months of the year left, so let’s go spots-on!
There are really a lot of things to do….. Good luck with the execution!
