Yesterday, with the assistance of my colleague and his Codex bot, we dug into the deep abyss of Ruby internals and found what we believe to be the actual culprit of the memory leaks we’ve been having in the Library servers. The fixes are now open in the OkComputer and timeout repositories, and I’m looking forward to landing these to help others with this as well!
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention before I started work yesterday, I was able to sneak in writing about 300 words of Arc 1. It’s exciting to see this story finally taking shape. And I’ve had some more inspiration for an Arc 2, so now the series has at least plot summaries the entire way through. I’m over the moon that I have a plan for where the stories are going!
Meanwhile, we’re having a home inspection so everything has to be tidied. Luckily, as a Dalmatian with a slight Dylan influence, I keep everything fairly tidy anyway. Still, I made the art desk look a bit nicer. I never did share a photo of what it looks like with the iMac there. So here it is – the new configuration of my art desk, ready for sketching:
