This is going to be a weird one, but I don’t have a lot to write about. This past evening’s stream featured Sonic X, so I could always write about that, but nah.
Instead I am going to give a tiny summary of some of the articles I had started, but decided not to publish, and why.
- I was going to publish an article saying that I was happy the US lost the FIFA World Cup match they had with Belgium, because I didn’t think it would send a good message if cheaters won. And yes, I do believe that having the red card taken away was cheating. It just felt like a really negative article, and it was already the 7th by the time I started it. And I couldn’t really get into it with the memories of my grandfather lingering in my head.
- I was going to publish a review of Brother Bear. I would still like to, but I lost my review notes! My phone didn’t sync them, and I had to power it off, and when I powered it back on they were gone. I don’t feel it’d be fair to review it entirely from memory, so I’ll have to rewatch it at some point. It was very enjoyable (spoilers for the review, haha), so I don’t mind so much. But it won’t happen any time soon, because I have a lot of things in queue to watch!
- I had considered publishing a poem I wrote. But I don’t think I want to put my poetry on the Internet with the current crop of AI/LLM bots crawling everything. If you are interested, odds are you know how to contact me (hint: my friendly name at this domain name is a real address!). I’d be more than happy to share it with actual living breathing animals. Just not with bots, not yet.
As a cool anecdote, though, I’ve written another few thousand words in Arc 13 between deliveries. I’m excited to be starting the chapter I’ve been most looking forward to writing. This chapter contains the proper introduction of the character Daffodil to the series! I love writing her and this is such a cute set of scenes.
