This week is special for those of us who work in libraries around the States: National Library Week!
Libraries provide so many vital resources for all our communities. Of course, access to books and knowledge are the most important, but most libraries can offer you so much more. All of our libraries in the Tulsa area have free Wi-Fi, scanners and fax machines (for those times you need one), and amazing research sections. Central has a 3D printer you can book, and Hardesty has a genealogical library on the upper storey! There are so many things that you might not even realise your local library has to offer you.
So, this week – and every week – do go and check it out. You might stumble on something really cool, or something that expands your mind and broadens your horizons. Or, to quote a saying I learned when I was quite young: having fun isn’t hard when you’ve got a library card!
