Considering how many things I’m interested in, probably more than that!
I reference the “there are two wolves” meme because I have found that although I thought the software engineering hobby was waning in favour of my creative writing and art, it turns out it is still present. There is nothing wrong with that; it just means there’s more things I want to do! Not that this list was ever short…
There is a part of me that still wants to finish spotcheck, and it’s entirely possible I will. But there are three other projects I would like to give priority before I return to it. Part of the motivation for that is because I want to see where Mosscap goes and see if I can write the frontend for spotcheck in it.
The first priority is Adélie Linux. There are a few issues left that need to be ironed out and I am feeling unusually, unreasonably spotted this week. I’ve crushed a lot of personal tasks that needed doing, and now I want to try and focus on these.
The second priority is a project I’ve been promising one of my best friends that I’d help them with. It shouldn’t take too much of my time, and it’d be a genuine help to them.
And the third priority is the new project I mentioned in my last article. I am starting it and hoping to work on it with my sweetie. He wants to help me work on the idea I had for tracking watch party lists. I think it will be a fun way for us to explore how we work as a team, and if all goes well, hopefully others can benefit too!
It was such a wonderful day at work, too. We worked together as a team on everything from knowledge sharing to the accessibility project to build systems. And together, we are making excellent strides on all of it! I’m so proud of the work we’re doing and I can’t wait to see what’s next in the pipeline.
All in all, despite my temporary dip in mood on Sunday, things have turned around and I’m back to my happy, spotty self. And I’m so excited to get to wake up tomorrow and continue working towards making my plans into my reality.
