So it turns out Oklahoma has some pretty nasty spiders. And when they bite you, they can cause a condition called lymphangitis, which basically means your lymph nodes get infected. Whoops!
And that’s how Spots ended up in the Saint Francis A&E this morning. I noticed that the area around the bite was getting darker red, instead of lighter. And then a red line started going up my arm, which didn’t seem all that great.
Good news: They’re pretty confident I’m going to be just fine after a round of antibiotics!
Bad news: The American healthcare system is expensive.
I’m going to have to Uber my tail off over this…
