Weekend updates: reading, writing, and programming

Reading: I was finally able to sit down and read Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees (earns commission) on suggestion from one of my good friends. Expect a review here – mirrored to the Goodreads I’ll eventually set up, perhaps even tonight – but wow. This puts the graphic in graphic novel! I no longer feel so bad about the violent scene I wrote for volume 17…

Writing: I’m looking into doing more IndieWeb stuff for this blog. It looks like a lot of fun, and is exactly the sort of thing I want to participate in more. Also, apparently webrings are coming back in fashion? I’m on the look out for some good ones to join!

Programming: I’ve made a bit more progress on Spotcheck, specifically the frontend! I’m hoping to have this up in beta form some time in the next week. Stay tuned.

I really want to do some more art projects, too; I have an idea for a scene I want to draw, but I’m not sure when I’ll have the time to sit down and do it. Earlier this afternoon, I tried to tune my guitar so I could do some music projects, but I only had time to tune three of the six strings before I was interrupted by a friend texting me to catch lunch… busy, busy weekend!
