The Illinois Fighting Illini won the football! Memorial Stadium is less than less than 6 km from my childhood home. I’m always so happy to watch one of their games when I’m able. No matter how much I want to leave the US, and how British I am in my soul, a part of me will always be home in central Illinois.
Yesterday’s Minecraft was super fun. I really like the progress we’re making on our little house! I hope to set up a little gallery site at some point so I can share the screenshots around. For now, you’ll just have to trust me that it’s a cute house.
Finally made time to play with each cat again, too. I miss the bonding time we used to have, and I’m so glad to be getting back to it. Working two jobs was just eating too much of my time, and the utter exhaustion after long Uber shifts was particularly bad for that.
I also wrote a bit, which felt nice after a long period of not having any time. It was based off of a writing prompt and it will not be published anywhere. In addition to the fact it is not part of the Spotted canon, it wasn’t even with any of my characters. But it was nice to write a silly little story, and I definitely feel like I still have it in me!
