Okay, it doesn’t really work like that. Dalmatians have spots anyway. But still.
I’ve managed to shepherd the change for the first of the Library’s software off Yarn, and it resulted in removing almost 1800 lines of code! The replacement only added 80 lines. That’s a huge chunk of code just gone, which means it’s easier to maintain, easier to work with, and faster.
It also removed about 200 MB off the Docker image, so hey, that’s great too!
In personal news, the ceiling of my grandmother’s flat is already being worked on, the leak is fixed, and I’ve managed to find my mum a new doctor who should be able to care for her better. (My mum’s healthcare is deserving of its own article, which I will write later.)
I have a lot planned for the days ahead, so hopefully I can keep going at this rate!
